Rajasthan Judicial Services Examination: Examination Pattern
- The preliminary exam will be of an objective type, with 30% of the total weight going toward testing language ability in Hindi and English and 70% going toward the subjects included in the syllabus for Law Papers I and II.
- The Preliminary Examination has a maximum score of 100, and there is a maximum of 100 questions. Negative marking doesn’t apply to incorrect responses in the preliminary exam, though.
- The preliminary examination lasts for two hours. The final merit is not determined by taking into account the marks received in the preliminary examination.

The Stage of “PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION”
- The Preliminary exam has an objective-style question paper.
- Each of the 100 questions is worth one mark, and there is no negative marking.
- There are two hours throughout the duration.
- Those who make it through the preliminary exams are eligible to take the main exam.
The Stage of “MAINS EXAMINATION”
The main examination is administered using a descriptive answer writing approach and consists of four papers. For the first two papers, three hours are allocated, and for the latter two, two hours.
